Our fearless leader, Matt Ford, and Team Ambit know all too well that our teachers are undervalued and underpaid.
In fact, did you know that all teachers pay for their classroom’s supplies and snacks? That’s a lot of out-of-pocket money these teachers commit to benefiting the school and the children who attend.
We’re Committed to Supporting our Teachers
For that reason, every quarter Ambit Consulting chooses a teacher to support with their specific classroom needs.
We establish a budget and ask each of our chosen teachers to send us their classroom wish lists.
Snacks and Supplies, Oh My!
This year, we chose Lindsay Hunt, an amazing Kindergarten teacher at MLK Jr. Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona. (Fun fact, she is also the niece of one of our own, David Hunt!)
Every year, Lindsay spends a tremendous amount of money on healthy snacks for her kids, so she requested Ambit’s help with snacks and specific classroom supplies.
She was very grateful for the opportunity to have a wish list granted and we imagine the kids appreciated it, too. After all that learning, who doesn’t love snacks?
We also chose to support Gina Sanchez who teaches 6th Grade Reading and Writing at Verrado Middle School in Buckeye, Arizona.
Teaching reading and writing is no joke, and her valiant efforts will now be supplemented by additional supplies provided by Ambit Consulting this year.
